Privacy

Colmo Inc. (“Colmo”) respects your privacy. This page explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and how you can reach us about it. We handle personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy legislation.

Information we collect on this site

This website does not require you to create an account and does not sell anything. We collect personal information only when you choose to send it to us, for example by emailing or calling the addresses listed on our contact page. That information typically includes your name, your contact details, and whatever you tell us in your message.

Our web host records standard technical information such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and to keep the site running.

Why we use it

We use the information you send us to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to discuss working together. We do not use it for any other purpose without your consent, and we do not sell personal information.

Information handled for clients

Colmo builds and operates marketing campaigns and web properties for client businesses. Where a member of the public submits information through a campaign or website we operate for a client, that information is collected for and on behalf of that client. The client is responsible for it and its own privacy policy governs how it is used. Those properties identify the client and link to the client’s privacy policy. Colmo acts only as a service provider on the client’s instructions under a written agreement.

Advertising and analytics

We use advertising and analytics services, including Meta Platforms and Google, on this site and on sites we operate for clients. These services may set cookies or use similar technologies to measure how advertising performs. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can review Meta’s and Google’s own privacy notices for how they handle data they collect.

How long we keep it

We keep correspondence for as long as needed for the purpose it was provided and to meet our legal and record-keeping obligations, then dispose of it securely.

Service providers

We use third parties for hosting, email and analytics. Some may store or process data outside Canada, which means it may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction. We take reasonable steps to ensure providers protect personal information appropriately.

Your rights

You may ask us for access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw consent to our use of it, subject to legal and contractual limits. Write to us at the address below and we will respond within the timeframes required by law.
